Art Exhibition

We held our first Art Exhibition this year. We started running a fortnightly Art Class. Drawing and painting is a great way to relax, it is good for co-ordination and dexterity and for those residents do are living with dementia, it is an opportunity to be creative. The art exhibition was Christine’s idea, Christine is the lady who runs the art class. The residents were enjoying the classes that much and producing art work after art work, we just knew we had to display them for all to see. We invited Andrew Jones, M.P for Harrogate, who came and looked at all the art work and spoke to the residents who had contributed. All the art work was up for sale and all were purchased apart from a few which will be displayed within the home.
